This modern rural home was design and built for a couple migrating from Auckland to take advantage of the Hawkes Bay lifestyle. The site had a great elevated aspect with a native bush outlook. This was taken advantage of with north facing glazing and a large verandah which formed a comfortable outdoor living space. A solar hot water system was incorporated as well as a wastewater treatment system and potable rain water tanks. This home was awarded a Bronze Award in the Registered Master Builder House of the Year competition.
